Feeling Down

I'm not feeling so great right now...and honestly, I know that it's more my own fault, rather than someone else's. Someone left a comment on my previous post, OOTD, basically saying that I am not wearing proper hijab and I should also cover my chest and, "May Allah guide me."

I just felt so down after reading that. I am not mad at whoever wrote it; obviously they wrote it as "anonymous." However, I just feel like if you are going to say something like that to someone or give dawah (Islamic advice), than you really need to say it in the right way, so that the person does not turn away from Islam as a rebuttal. Of course, I would not turn away, but there just has to be proper etiquette of saying it.

I know I am not perfect at all and I still have to fix my hijab and be more modest, but I properly put on the hijab about 6 months ago. I'm just taking it one step at a time so I don't go backwards, like I did the last time. I know this is no excuse, but it's just what I have to do myself to inshallah get better.

I do agree with whoever left that comment and I do pray that Allah (swt) guide me to what pleases Him, because there is no way I, or anyone else, will ever be perfect. I just don't like it when people make that dua to someone else in an arrogant manner, thinking they are better. We should always ask Allah (swt) to guide all of us because no one is perfect, including the person who wrote it.

Subhanallah, maybe that person didn't mean to be rude or sound arrogant, but I just felt like it was said in that way. But I sincerely pray that Allah (swt) make me a better Muslim and increase my iman and forgive my sins and I pray this dua for the person who wrote this message and all of you too! Ameen!

Sorry for the random post. It was just something I felt I needed to write down in order to prove to myself that I know I am making mistakes and praying that I get better.

Until next time...

OOTD: Henna Party

This is what I wore to my cousin's Henna Party. I was so glad that I had the PERFECT underpiece to match my outfit to wear under my hijab. I always use the dupatta (shawl) with the outfit as my hijab because I hate having two different pieces to wear.

I Can't Sleep!

It is 4:13 am currently and I cannot sleep. I have been trying for a while, only to give up and come online. I need to get my schedule back in order. I sleep all day and stay up all night. Subhanallah!

My brother's nikka (religious ceremony for his wedding) is coming up soon and my cousin's Mendhi (henna party) is this weekend, so those two things are all I can think about. I keep planning the events in my head. It's really annoying and I don't want to think about them but I can't help it.

What do you guys do when you can't fall asleep?

Until next time...

Excellent Post on IGIC

I wanted to share a post that I recently read on the I Got it Covered Blog (IGIC). I just became one of the editors on the website, so I am so excited! You should check it out. It has great hijab stories and other inspirational stories in general.

This one gave me chills!

Enjoy and feel free to submit your own stories to IGIC!

OOTD: Eid

Hey guys!

First of all, a great, big EID MUBARAK to you all! I pray you had a great day and may Allah (swt) accept all our good deeds and forgive all our sins.

It's been pretty hectic, so I haven't had time to update the blog. Here is the outfit I wore for Eid! I was very pleased with it, alhamdulillah.

How was everyone's Eid? What did you guys do?

Until next time...

I Love Ramadan!

Assalamu Alaikum everyone,

I have not been keeping up with my blog, lately, but alhamdulillah it is due to being busy in Ramadan. I pray that everyone's Ramadan is going well! Subhanallah, it just flew by! I am sad that it will be over soon. The month of mercy will soon be gone and who knows if we will get a chance to be blessed by it again. Make sure you take advantage of it as much as you can and make lots and lots of dua!

I came across a great dua:

Oh Allah, bestow on me the blessings of Laylatul Qadr, change my affairs from being difficult to being easy, accept my repentance, forgive my sins and decrease my burdens, O the most Compassionate with His righteous servants. Ameen!

Please, also, if you have the time, then dua for my sister and brother in law that their affairs be made easy for them and for a friend of mine named Sheba. She is also going through very difficult times.

Reported by Abu Daw'ud and Tirmidhi:
"The supplication that gets the quickest answer is the one made by one Muslim for another in his absense."

The Propher (saw) said:
"Whenever you make a supplication (dua) for another believer and he is not present, the angels will say, 'and same to you.'"

So please do make dua and may Allah (swt) give you lots of rewards in return and grant you your duas as well. Ameen!

Until next time...
